Junior League of Lafayette is proud to bring back the highly anticipated Touch-a-Truck event, an interactive and educational experience designed to engage children and families in the community. This exciting event allows kids to get up close and personal with large vehicles such as fire trucks, construction equipment, and emergency response vehicles while learning about their functions and the professionals who operate them.
A Hands-On Learning Experience
Last year, Touch-a-Truck drew over 4,000 attendees, giving families a unique opportunity to explore various vehicles, ask questions, and interact with first responders, construction workers, and other professionals. By climbing aboard these impressive machines, children foster curiosity and gain insight into different career paths in a fun and engaging way.
Supporting Community Initiatives
Beyond the fun, Touch-a-Truck plays a vital role in supporting Junior League of Lafayette’s broader community initiatives. The funds raised from the event help sustain impactful programs.

This year’s Touch-a-Truck event will take place from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on March 22 with a Quiet Hour from 2-3 p.m. at Blackham Coliseum. Mark your calendar and bring the whole family for a day filled with hands-on fun, learning, and community impact!
Admission tickets are available for purchase for $10 through a Junior League of Lafayette Member or in-person at Junior League of Lafayette Headquarters.
